Anyone Crying Racism This Year on AI?

I have been busy and have not had time to do a blog about American Idol this year, but after last night, I thought I would sneak in my two cents worth.

It has been painfully obvious to me that Simon did not really like Carly from the beginning. Is it the old English/Irish feud, like the Hatfields and McCoys?

Who knows? All I know is, that the Irish girl was voted off last night. Should I call American Idol 'racist'? That's what immature, ignorant, and clueless people called it during the nightmare season of Fantasia, aka African American Idol. Some idiot on a blog commented that this is American Idol, not Irish Idol! Please!

But not to worry, I only have 3 words to say to Carly:

"REMEMBER CHRIS DAUGHTRY!"

I've been watching American Idol Rewind on Sunday nights, the 2nd season. And I can see by the comments and the little hints that Simon did not think that Clay would be marketable. He did everything he could to ensure that Ruben would be left standing.

Boy, did Simon miss the mark big time on that one. He got it wrong that year and I love watching him do it again in reruns.

Oh, and a side note: That girl that Simon discovered, she was okay. I might like her more if I was able to understand a word she sang. What language was that anyway? :P
