I was pleasantly surprised to see that David Cook won American Idol last night. Everyone had their money on the 'other' David. Even I was convinced.
But I must say that I now know that the judges know before the finale starts, who wins. Simon's weak apology to David Cook was his way of 'eating crow'.
Simon made his first big blunder in Season 2. He thought Ruben was more marketable and did everything he could to ensure that Clay did not win. But we know who got the last laugh that year, don't we? (Check Clay's record sales)
It has happened again this year. Simon called David Cook 'pompous', 'arrogant', and told him last night that we witnessed a 'knockout', stating that David Archuleta had beat him out of his deserved title.
Uh-huh, Simon, you were wrong again!! And I'm lovin' every minute of it!!!
Call it Daughtry's revenge, call it whatever you want, I'm so glad David Cook won! But Daughtry doesn't need revenge, because come to think of it, Simon was way off about him, too.
